Vydání singlu Spotlight je velice zvláštní záležitostí. Komerční singl byl totiž realizován pouze v Japonsku. Kromě 7" vinylu to bylo také na úplně prvním Madonnině 3" CD. Proto je singl velikou vzácností. Cena CD sahá i dnes nad tisíc korun a patří mezi nejvzácnější komerčně vydané nosiče Madonniny diskografie. Zajímavá je ale i písnička sama o sobě. Jde o první skladbu na albu tanečních remixů některých dřívějších Madonniných nahrávek, kterou právě Spotlight otevírá. Albová verze má tedy podobné provedení jako zbytek alba, kterou tvoří většinou šestiminutové remixy, které do sebe postupně přecházejí a tvoří tak jakýsi historicky první megamix. Na singlu je pak dostupná i editní verze. Jediným komerčně vydaným formátem pro získání dub mixu je album na MC kazetě. Jinak jej lze nalézt na 12" promo vinylech.
