I když na konec roku 2003 byl ohlášen box set ke dvacátému výročí vydání Madonnina prvního alba, byl projekt dvou CD a dvou DVD roztříštěn jen na dílčí projekty a Remixed And Revisited je jedním, zatím jediným uskutečněným, z nich. Warner Bros. se rozhodli vydat kromě dvou nových komerčních singlů na podporu alba American Life i remixové minialbum. Kromě čtyř remixů se na disku objevila i společná práce s Missy Elliott vzniklá skomponováním oprášeného velkého tanečního hitu z osmdesátých let Into The Groove a v té době zatím posledního komerčního singlu Hollywood v jednu písničku Into The Hollywood Groove, která vznikla prakticky jen pro televizní reklamu. Dalším bonusem této nahrávky je záznam živého vystoupení, které bylo některými médii popisováno až jako lesbické orgie, na dvacátém výročním předávání cen hudební stanice MTV, kde Madonna spolu s Christinou Aguilerou, Britney Spears a Missy Elliott zazpívaly Hollywood. Na scénu ji uvedly zpěvem Like A Virgin Christina a Britney jako dvě nevěsty přesně tak, jak Madonna otevírala historicky první předávání cen MTV v roce 1983. Na začátku tohoto vystoupení se jako jedna ze dvou družiček ukázala dokonce i Lourdes Leon. Třetím překvapením tohoto EP je skladba Your Honesty, nahraná již v roce 1994 pro album Bedtime Stories, pro které nakonec nebyla vybrána. Je to však oblíbená písnička někdejší Madonniny manažerky Caresse Henry, která se zasadila o její vydání při této příležitosti. Autorem remixu je Daniel Abraham.
